A human life averages around 29,000 days. About 696,000 hours. It sounds vast until you start subtracting sleep, work, obligations, and all the quiet moments that slip by unnoticed. What remains is smaller than we like to admit.
A significant portion of mine has been spent on films, games, anime, books, and music. Not just as entertainment, but as borrowed lives.
We can’t live every version of ourselves. We can’t chase every path, test every belief, or experience every consequence. Media becomes a kind of portal a controlled simulation of other possibilities. Through stories, we rehearse courage, failure, love, ambition, collapse, redemption. We explore identities we will never fully inhabit in reality.
Over time, these stories shape the lens through which we see the world. A line of dialogue lingers. A character’s decision reframes our own. A fictional world quietly rearranges our sense of what matters.
So I wanted to write them down. Not as a definitive list. Not as recommendations. Just as a record of the worlds that intersected with mine fragments of imagination that, in their own way, helped construct who I am today.

A life is finite. Stories are not. And every story we choose to enter leaves a subtle imprint on the one we’re actually living.
